| You are in the Truth Seekers section of our site. If you wish to visit the Audio Manuals and related portions of our site, use the menu across the top of the page. At the bottom of each page on our site is a link to this "slightly hidden" section. Otherwise, there are no other links to it because it isn't intended for everyone to find it, only those whom the Holy Spirit brings. |
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 NIV | | We Get Letters - Shaken From A Rut | | Rick says... I had been thinking for more than a year that I should make a section here on Truth Seekers for some of the comments and letters we receive concerning it. When I received this one, I finally decided to just "git 'er done". | | 2006-09-04 Rick,
How unusual that I would find exactly what I needed on a website where I was looking for something totally unrelated. I have a friend who says "without spirituality there is no hope". It's easy to forget that we are not the creators. When we do this, we tend to start carrying a lot of extra "gear" pardon the "pun", that we were never meant to carry.
Your words were enough to shake me out of my "rut" and remember that Jesus walks the path with me. Sorry to bother you. I know you must be very busy. I have never met you or seen you and probably never will. We apparently have Jesus and audio gear in common. After 23 years in the "corporate race", I suddenly realized that I had no clue as to who I was or why I even existed. I chose to drop out. I abandoned a six figure income to take the time I needed so badly to discover my true passions in life and feel that my existence had more purpose than strangling my "competitor" for the almighty dollar.
I just finished my first children's book, and I am starting to write "tongue in cheek" articles for a number of local news papers. I still need to "work" until I can afford to make a living from my writing and I certainly do not have the kind of money I did 3 years ago. However that is a cheap price to pay for discovering who you are, being brave enough to follow your dreams, and reestablishing a formerly neglected relationship with God.
Thank you for your inspiration. If you have ever wondered if people really do go to the bottom of the page...yes they do. And the smart ones reap the wisdom that you have generously chosen to impart. Thanks again.
Rick
