| Stuff Rick Wrote - Introduction | This section of our site is a work in progress and will change from time to time. It is not my intention to offer a huge number of links to other sites... just a few to some particular pages and some sites that will possibly *open the doors* of your understanding.
These sites offer many links to writings and other sites where you will find information and insight about many things. These folks are attempting to present Truth to you in a way that you might read, understand and gain wisdom.
I once heard Mark Hanby (a leading figure in the Body of Christ) make this profound statement, "Religion is what *man says* God says... NOT what *God says". This is one of the most truthful things I have ever heard.
The problem is that the church has for centuries done an absolutely horrible job of teaching about the true nature of God. The church world has been filled with violence, hypocrisy, bitterness, and false teachings. People have suffered greatly because of a lack of understanding about true wisdom.
Wisdom is available to all of us. Wisdom is a person and has a name. His name is Jesus and He presents himself to all who are seeking through the Holy Spirit. There is so much fascinating information concerning the eternal purposes of God available to anyone who wants to find it. Let the Holy Spirit fulfill his role in your life as your Teacher.
We are all of one common heritage. We are all spirit that came from God and will return to God when we leave our body in this physical life. There is no other place for our spirit to reside except to be with the one from whence we came.
There are two simple phrases that kind of sum up the dealings of God in our lives. As I came to realize what I have come to believe as truth, they became abundantly clear to me.
continue top next column | The first is expressed by the world's words *S--- Happens*. Simply, both bad things and refreshing times blow through everyone's life. Everything that happens in life is not the result of the blessings or cursings of God. And everything is not because of an attack of the devil or because of your righteousness or lack thereof.
The second is that *God is in control and is not mad at you!* His eternal plans are not to whip you in this life for your every transgression. And it is not to punish you forever by burning for every indiscretion for which you forgot to repent. Don't wait till you are dead to find the truth. Find the truth while you are alive and then learn to live.
Do yourself a favor and take some time to explore a bit. Perhaps you will read the views of others that are totally opposed to your current beliefs and perhaps even cause you to become angry. Maybe you will find some words that will immediately be as a cool drink of water and as a salve to your soul.
The Holy Spirit is faithful to open the eyes of your understanding in a way that truth might flood your understanding with new light. May your life only become better and better as the Spirit of God begins to shed more light within you.
While I have a general agreement with many of the ideas, thoughts and theologies you will find by following these links, I am not in agreement and do not specifically endorse the views of each author in everything they have to say.
