Announcements - Last 2004

12-31-2004 - For the past two months, we haven't had any time to post updates here which should give a clue about how little spare time we've had. Since taking my mother from the hospitals to the nursing home, she fell and broke her hip, so there was another round of time spent on that situation.

This whole year has been filled with attacking major (hopefully one-time) projects. There was no reason to expect the last two months would be different :). So besides keeping up with manuals sales as much as possible, we have begun and completed several important projects over the past few weeks and almost all of them are contributing to our goals of vastly improving our operating efficiencies and expenses of doing business. One was the removal and replacement of the roof on the two-story garage here at our home where our manuals operation and about 20,000 of the manuals are located. It was questionable if it would have made it through the winter. One more load off my mind :)

Perhaps the most important long term, is the work completed on the two and a half story "manuals house" where about 30,000 of our manuals are currently stored. We removed all the electrical wiring, water, sewer and gas plumbing from the entire structure. So far, all gas and water and sewer lines have been installed new and 90% of the new electrical system is completed. Our hope is that by summertime, we will be able to move all the manuals business stuff from our garage and home, to there. When that happens, all original manuals, sales stock, printing equipment, computers, etc. will be in one location and all laid out in an efficient manner for easy work flow.

10-25-2004 - Are you interested in trading for some manuals you need? We just added a new section called The Trading Page.

10-24-2004 - the Price Codes and Item Descriptions project. The complete rebuild of the Manuals For Sale section had been intended to be completed mid to late summer... sigh... We'll begin focusing attention to that again and hope to have most of it done fairly soon.

10-22-2004 - As my mom's Medical Power of Attorney and the family member closest to the three hospital facilities where she has been recently, I have spent a tremendous amount of time over the past ten weeks intimately involved with her recuperation. Physical health recovery from the surgery is essentially complete. The mental but physical /mental rehabilitation from the stroke remains problematic. Today, I transported her from an acute physical therapy rehabilitation hospital to a nursing home where the focus is more oriented toward long-term care. It appears that those critical brain functions necessary for independent living just aren't working right. I don't rule out a full recovery as the medical professionals basically have, but it will take the work of the Lord to accomplish it. If you are so inclined, your prayers for her mental recovery are appreciated. My day-to-day involvement will be drastically reduced now as other family members are much closer now. I am returning my major attention toward StereoManuals projects again.

10-04-2004 - I want to thank the many folks who have written and expressed concern, good wishes, prayers and encouragements regarding the situation with my mother. The reposting of the entire Manuals For Sale section was expected to be completed about the end of July. It is ""so close"" but isn't yet done due to the time being diverted to the "mom situation."

10-1-2004 - Today we published the New 3rd Edition Pioneer Spec Bible. It now covers 1500 Pioneer models available from 1970 - 1985, has several new sections, and is now 242 pages instead of 158. This book is a TERRIFIC bargain for any fans of classic Pioneer gear, especially if a collector, a trader, or one that buys and sells them. Dave Swaffer and I have literally thousands of dollars of direct investment and God only knows how much time invested in the production of this book.

We will be completely rebuilding and updating the description pages as soon as some time can be found to do it. At that time, the price will be raised from $39.95 to $49.95. If you see this note and are interested in it, I suggest you go to the page (above link) and buy it now. You will get the New 3rd Edition regardless of whether the page is updated yet or not. The price will remain $39.95 until the pages are updated... saving you $10.00.
